This past Memorial Day weekend, we were able to go to Heber with Beth's family to enjoy a ride on Thomas the Tank Engine on the Heber Valley Railroad. Claire had been looking forward to this for a long time and was very excited. I thought it would be a good idea to drive past the railroad on our way into town on Friday night, so we could catch a look at Thomas. That got Claire way, way excited. She wanted to get out of the car right then. Our tickets were for Saturday, so we waited until then. Claire got to meet Sir Topham Hatt and also the conductor. There were also other activities such as a petting zoo, temporary tattoos, story telling, and balloon animals. I think Claire's very favorite part was the actual ride on Thomas the Tank Engine. Just look at the sheer joy on her face! I was a lot of fun. We rode on an open train car and also we were able to walk into an enclosed train car during our ride.
The day was a lot of fun! Anne was here from Missouri and she was able to go to Heber with us to ride the train.
